Martina Nassi
Martina Nassi is a PhD candidate at the Advanced X-ray Tomographic Imaging (AXTI) lab within the Department of Medical Imaging at Radboud University Medical Center (Nijmegen).
She studied Biomedical Engineering at Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy), where she graduated with honors in July 2023. Her academic journey led her to the AXTI lab, where she conducted her MSc thesis, titled “Generative 3D breast shape modeling and deep learning for x-ray scatter correction in dedicated breast CT: Towards 4D dynamic contrast-enhanced breast CT imaging”. In September 2023, Martina joined the AXTI group as a PhD candidate under the supervision of Koen Michielsen and Ioannis Sechopoulos. Her research project aims to develop and validate novel image reconstruction algorithms for functional tomosynthesis imaging, which will aid in personalization of treatment plans and monitoring of the response to treatment.
